So maybe this is you…

  • You’re decent with your DSLR (or iPhone) and you could use a little help to get you started taking your own pictures.

  • You need a few pics for your website or social media account in a pinch and you don’t have time to hire a photographer.

[You had me at hello…]

Look,

You don’t have to be a seasoned photographer to understand some basic skills to get a good shot of your own products!

You have a business where you SELL or MAKE amazing products. What good is it if you don't tell people about it?! Not just because you want to earn a buck (which, by the way isn't a bad thing!), but because you know it will truly change the lives of the people you serve.

But there's a problem.

You are not giving your creations the spotlight they deserve and folks are just scrolling on by. YES, I can help you with that. But dude (my apologies for all those that I now have saying 'dude' way to much!)... I get it... you're not ready for a professional shoot. Be it time, money, planning... I get it. Let me help you out and give you the opportunity to learn more.

Way too often, I see social media pictures that are just subpar. When I KNOW folks can make little tweeks to improve their skills to STOP THE SCROLL. It takes 50 milliseconds for people to decide whether or not to stay engaged. That’s not a lot of time peeps. And because I’m a DIY’er myself, it’s only natural for me to want to give you a few tips on how to take your own photos… BETTER photos that is! For this reason, I’ve put together a resource to help you understand 3 SIMPLE SKILLS for product photography that you can start applying TODAY! What are these 3 SIMPLE and ESSENTIAL skills you’ll need to:

1) start taking better pictures of your product
2) have more purposeful images
3) turn eye-balls into customers

LIGHT - COMPOSITION - INTENTIONALITY

You’ve spent tons of time either making, choosing, or perfecting your product and now, you’re going to settle (???!!!) for some random snapshot of your beautiful creation?

Uh uh! You’re smarter than that. And because I know you are, I have a feeling some of what I can teach you will get you off to a great start.

WARNING: you WILL NOT receive custom advice on HOW to use your camera. There are a ton of YouTube videos out there to learn the bells and whistles of your camera. But you WILL totally get a new perspective on how to make your product ‘shine’!

I’ll admit, my creative eye makes these 3 essential skills kind of second nature'. But truly perfecting them did not just magically happen!

I know… you’re thinking, “Anne, I don’t have time to take photography courses! I have a business to run!” Why yes, yes you do! And trust me, I would love to work with you and get some uber awesome pictures for your website to totally “ROCK YOUR BRAND.”

But I also know there a number of you who aren’t quite ready to hire a professional. And for some, you’re simply looking to get a few good pics for social media. Especially for that kind of platform, a some nice DIY pics can be very effective to initiate your business online. Or even to give folks a taste of what you’re ‘cookin’ up.

And NO, I don’t go over the gagillions of “composition rules” for photography. I know you don’t have time for that… I’m preppin’ you with the basics that you can totally put into action!

Ok, if you’re still not convinced, be encouraged that my goal for you is to get photos you can USE; not just cool photos that your momma likes. Are you intentional about the pictures you take and the photos you share with your audience? The better you understand what message it is that you’re trying to get across to your audience, the easier it is to decided which photos cut it and which don’t.
